Gramercy Park

Gramercy is the neighborhood of New York City stretching from East 29th Street heading south to East 20th Street, from 1st Avenue, heading west to Broadway. Gramercy Park itself, is the exclusive, gated park that lies between 3rd Avenue and Park Avenue South, from East 21st street to East 20th street. Only those lucky enough to live around the immediate vicinity of Gramercy Park are granted the coveted "Key to the Park."

Real Estate developers in the 19th century designed the area surrounding Gramercy Park to imitate the quiet residential areas found in many European cities of the day. It has remained that way ever since. The townhouses located here were built by some of the best architects and housed the most influential families in New York.
